Oracle DatabaseATX AnalyticsTable connects to Oracle Database in Thin mode, so there is no Oracle Instant Client to install on every analyst's machine. Analysts query Oracle from the grid, pin results, build dashboards and schedule reports — the same way as every other source.

What you can do

Thin mode: nothing to install beyond ATX AnalyticsTable itself
Connect by host, port and service name or SID — or paste the full connect descriptor your DBA hands out
Sign-in with a password, a wallet for mTLS and Autonomous Database, a Microsoft Entra ID token minted and refreshed automatically, or external authentication
Database Resident Connection Pooling (DRCP) settings, fetch-array size and call time-outs for large estates
Pinned queries, _SQL formulas, dashboards, PDF reports and scheduled refresh over Oracle data

How to connect Oracle Database

Open Settings → Connections and add an Oracle connection — no Instant Client needed.
Enter host, port and service name or SID, or paste a full connect descriptor.
Choose password, wallet, Entra token or external authentication.
Press Test Connection, then build queries, dashboards and scheduled reports.

Security and governance

Wallet passwords and tokens are kept in the encrypted vault, never in the connection file
Connection definitions export with secrets stripped, so a standard Oracle configuration can be rolled out across a team without sharing a password

Availability

Database and warehouse connectors are counted per workspace: three on Corporate PRO, five on Corporate Advanced and Advanced Plus, unlimited on Corporate Unlimited, and every connector on Free and Individual.
