Azure Blob Storage Import & Export

Azure Blob StorageATX AnalyticsTable reads from and writes to Azure Blob Storage, so files landing in a container become refreshable data and finished reports, exports and backups go back to the same place — on a schedule if you want.

What you can do

Access by connection string, by account name and key, or by a SAS token or full SAS URL with no stored key
Direct ingestion of CSV, TSV, JSON, Parquet, .xlsx or a .duckdb database into the project database, without passing through the application window
Export flat files and workbooks to a container, with parameters in folder and file names
Project backups to a container with rolling retention
Cloud copy for moving finished artefacts between storage locations

How to connect Azure Blob Storage

Add an Azure Blob Storage location with a connection string, account key or SAS token.
Use Get Data to ingest a file from the container straight into the project database.
Use Export or a schedule to write files, PDFs or backups back to the container.

Security and governance

Keys and SAS tokens live in the encrypted vault; a SAS token can be scoped and time-limited so the application never holds an account key
All traffic goes over HTTPS

Availability

Cloud object storage is included on Free, Individual, Corporate Advanced, Advanced Plus and Unlimited — not on Corporate PRO.
