Amazon Redshift Reporting & Dashboards

Amazon RedshiftATX AnalyticsTable connects to Amazon Redshift — provisioned clusters and Redshift Serverless — and signs in with AWS IAM, so analysts query the warehouse from a familiar grid, build dashboards and schedule reports without anyone handing out a database password.

What you can do

Paste the cluster or Serverless workgroup endpoint and the deployment, cluster or workgroup and region are read from it; set them yourself for a VPC endpoint or custom domain
AWS IAM sign-in that mints temporary database credentials and renews them automatically — leave the database user blank and your AWS identity itself becomes the database user
The AWS identity can come from the default chain (EC2, ECS or EKS role, SSO login, environment), a named profile including SSO profiles, an assumed role with External ID, or access keys
GetClusterCredentials with an optional “create user if missing” and database groups on provisioned clusters; database and temporary passwords are also supported
WLM query group to route queries to the queue your DBA set up, plus search path and statement timeout
Query builder, SQL editor, pinned queries, dashboards, PDF reports and scheduled refresh — the same as every other source

How to connect Amazon Redshift

Open Settings → Connections and add an Amazon Redshift connection.
Paste the cluster or Serverless workgroup endpoint; port 5439 and database dev are the defaults.
Choose AWS IAM and where the AWS identity comes from — default chain, named profile, assume role or access keys.
Make sure the IAM policy allows redshift:GetClusterCredentialsWithIAM (or GetClusterCredentials), or redshift-serverless:GetCredentials.
Press Test Connection, then query, pin and schedule as with any other source.

Security and governance

SSL modes from disable to verify-full; on a VPC endpoint or DNS alias set the certificate host name or a CA file, then choose verify-full
Temporary IAM credentials mean no long-lived database password to share or rotate
Queries run as the connection's AWS identity, so give each team its own connection and role
Access keys, when used, are stored in the encrypted vault — a role is preferred

Availability

Database and warehouse connectors are counted per workspace: three on Corporate PRO, five on Corporate Advanced and Advanced Plus, unlimited on Corporate Unlimited, and every connector on Free and Individual.
