The bridge from an opening figure to a closing one; totals, subtotals and breakdowns. A waterfall (a BRIDGE, in finance) shows how one figure becomes another: each category is a floating bar that steps the running total up or down, and the last bar is where it lands — revenue in, costs out, net income at the end. Insert one from Reports → Waterfall on a sheet, from Dashboard → Waterfall on a dashboard, or pick Waterfall (bridge) as any chart's type. It is an ordinary chart in every other way: the same three data sources on a sheet (grid range, pinned query, database table), the same number format, title, legend, fonts, reference lines, zoom brush, PNG, SVG and CSV buttons, and it saves with the project.
