The distribution of one column: bins, range, outliers, curves, specification limits and statistics. A histogram answers "what does this column look like?": the range of a numeric column is cut into BINS and each bar shows how many values fall in its bin, so the typical value, the spread, the skew and the stragglers are visible before anyone computes a statistic. Insert one from Reports → Histogram on a sheet, from Dashboard → Histogram on a dashboard, or pick Histogram as any chart's type. It is an ordinary chart in every other way: the same three data sources on a sheet (grid range, pinned query, database table), every database connection on a dashboard, the same title, legend, fonts, number format, PNG, SVG and CSV buttons and PDF reports, and it saves with the project.
