Read certified measures by dimensions into a pipeline instead of writing SQL, so a scheduled recipe gets exactly the figure the dashboards show — with a fail-safe for cut results, an optional certified-only rule, and a run log that names every definition and version. A pipeline usually starts from a table, a range or a SQL step, and whoever writes the SQL decides how revenue is added up. The Governed metrics step asks the semantic layer instead: you pick measures, dimensions, saved filters, conditions and parameters by name, and the step sends exactly the request Settings → Semantic objects → Try a query… would send. The rows become the pipeline's data.
