Point a sheet chart, a pivot table or a dashboard widget at governed metrics instead of a table or range — on the built-in database or on any warehouse connection — and keep its numbers identical to every other report. Until 1.6 a chart or pivot read a sheet range, a table or a pinned query, and whoever built it chose the aggregation. With a governed metric as the source you pick measures, dimensions and saved filters by name; the semantic layer writes the SQL, runs it on the metric's own connection (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, the built-in DuckDB…) and the object shows the result.
