Dropdown lists for cells: sources, caching, refresh and assignment. Opens the value-list manager. A list is a named set of allowed values sourced from typed lines, a sheet range, or the DISTINCT values of a query column, and is then assigned to cells. Assigned cells show a dropdown chevron in their bottom-right corner offering the values, a (blank) entry and Clear value; typing something outside the list is rejected with a message naming what is allowed, while blanks and formulas always pass. Assign, change or remove a list from the grid's right-click List menu. Range and query lists cache their values and are refreshed explicitly.
