Rules that watch the data and notify when a condition holds. Standalone alert rules, all in one list. A rule WATCHES a SQL query (on the project database or a stored connection), a saved query, a pipeline's bound data (read without running the recipe) or a named range on a sheet, and e-mails people when its condition holds — a threshold crossed, a row count, a new month appearing, the data changing. The condition, the suppression and the message templates are the Send email step's own. Rules are scheduled on the same scheduler as everything else, "Check now" evaluates one immediately, and every rule can be switched off without being deleted. The rule is saved in the project; what it has already told people is remembered on this machine only.
