Syntax, arguments and examples for every function in the Verification category. Formulas start with =. Cells are addressed by column and row, for example C3R5 (column 3, row 5); a range such as C3R1:C3R10 runs down a column. Type a formula into a cell, or into the formula bar (Functions → Formula Bar → Formula Bar). Compares how two cells LOOK, and returns 1 when they match or 0 when they differ. This is the resolved appearance the grid paints, not merely the stored style: the fill falls back to the column colour and then to whatever conditional-format rule matches (a colour scale or data-bar gradient included), and the text colour and icon come from a matching rule when the cell itself sets none.
