Choosing a sign-in method, and the address, sign-in and limits for Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, MySQL, Microsoft Fabric and other engines — with TLS, proxies and troubleshooting. Settings → Connections → Add New Connection. Give the connection a name, pick its type, fill in the address and choose a sign-in method — the form then shows only the boxes that method uses. A star (*) marks what is still required, and a line under the form names anything missing. If your team already has a JDBC URL for the database (from a runbook, a BI tool or the vendor console), paste it into "Paste a JDBC URL" and press Read: the address, database, role, sign-in method and options are filled in for you, and the URL itself is then forgotten — the fields are what is saved.
