Syntax, arguments and examples for every function in the Database (SQL) category. Formulas start with =. Cells are addressed by column and row, for example C3R5 (column 3, row 5); a range such as C3R1:C3R10 runs down a column. Type a formula into a cell, or into the formula bar (Functions → Formula Bar → Formula Bar). Returns the absolute value (magnitude) of a number. Evaluated by the DATABASE rather than in the browser, so it works on a preview pin (where the grid twin can only see the page that is loaded) and the arguments may reference pinned columns. Evaluated in the database when the sheet is backed by a query.
