Central configuration, network controls and policy-enforced settings. An administrator can decide centrally what the application may do. Policies come from Group Policy (computer, then user), environment variables, a machine-wide policy.json or config.ini, and the MSI's own properties, in that order; ADMX and ADML templates ship with the installer and import straight into Intune. They can turn off AI features entirely or restrict them to approved model providers, turn off cloud storage, e-mail, Git integration, the update check or individual connector types, restrict file exports and backups to approved folders, set the project-trust rules, the licence server, the proxy and the log level, and forward the audit trail to a SIEM.
